Morehead State University Wellness Center – Phase III

Project Description

The project scope consisted of an addition of approximately 3,100 square foot to the existing Morehead State University Wellness Center, including a weight training room, and new restrooms.

  • Construction was slab-on-grade with cavity wall construction to match the existing building.
  • Project components also included a built-up asphalt roofing system, aluminum storefront windows, and hollow metal frames and doors.
  • Interior finishes included painted CMU, carpet tile, ceramic tile, and painted exposed bar joists with spray-on acoustical insulation.
  • The HVAC system consisted of a single-package rooftop unit duct supply and return. Electrical power, lighting, and fire alarm systems were upgraded, as were the plumbing and storm water drainage systems. Plus, the installation of a sprinkler system.
