Nicholas County Judicial Center

Project Description

Trace Creek Construction was honored to be selected as the Construction Manager by the Nicholas County Fiscal Court to provide them with a newly constructed, state of the art facility for the community that surrounds. The brand-new Nicholas County Judicial Center replaced an older facility that was in desperate need of repair. With the great design provided by Brandstetter Carroll Architects, Trace Creek Construction was able take that vision and make it a reality. This new 30,000 Square Foot Judicial Center included two very spacious courtrooms along with a designated area for Drug Court. It also featured Judge’s Quarters for the District and Circuit Judges along with offices for their staff. The Circuit Clerk also had a designated area in the facility including an office for her and a large workroom for staff. This building also featured a secured parking garage, ample amounts of storage, and several conference rooms. With construction starting in June of 2020, Covid played a major impact on delivery times of many materials and manpower supplied by subcontractors. Trace Creek was able to work with the Architect and Owner to overcome many of these challenges throughout the project, ultimately resulting in a project that was completed on time and on budget.
